Bleh...

Two More Weeks...
Haiz... How long is it going to take? I wish I have end my contract already... Anyway, I'm NOT going to work in Maybank in the future!!! Ok, think I shouldn't take up data entry as a temp job. It is just disgustingly boring, and bad for your health. Yup, really bad for health, as in:
- you will get fat easily as you don't move around at all,
- you will get muscles cramps easily as you sit on the chair for extreme prolonged period of time,
- your eyesight will get worse as the result of prolonged computer usage,
- you will fall sick easily as you are being stuck in a room shared by many people with stale air (there are definitely a lot of bacterias in the office, MUCH MORE than in the toilet),
- your body will get weaker as you don't exercise at all by douing data entry.

Ok, as far as possible, I'll try to avoid data entry jobs the next time I take up a temp job. Well, too bad I can only take up ONE VIP (Vacation Interim Programme) in university throughout the 4 years...

Done!!!
Yup, I've done with all the printing. Haha... No need to fight too much with the printer anymore... Anyway, the printer is going to run out of ink soon, and they run out of printer toner inside the storeroom... Hmm... Think they should really order more toners for the printer. The white (printing) papers are going to finish soon as well. Haha... Think it must be me who used up all the papers, after all the printing I've done... Anyway, they should also order more. Cannot just cut cost like that... Well, I can see a lot of pink (fax) paper, but they are not meant for use for the printer. Hmm... wonder why did they order so much pink paper... We don't have that many fax coming in, in fact we have only ONE fax, and there are TWO printer PLUS ONE photocopying machine inside the department. They should invest more on white paper instead.

The Miz River: 100th Post!!!

The 100th Post
Yay!!! Finally this blog has 100 post!!! Haha... Think it's time for some celebration. Hmm... I started this blog about 3 months ago, kind of fast to reach 100 post. The previous blog that I had took quite some time to reach 100 post, sine I only had the time to type the blog entries during weekends. Well, about this current blog, I'm not really sure how many people are reading my blog. Think not many people read my blog since I didn't really publicise this blog. Never mind, if other people want to read my blog, maybe they should find their way here... :P

Sunday Morning Madness
Hmm... Have to wake up for breakfast again. Yup, as long as my parents are around, I cannot skip breakfast... Never mind, at least when I go out for breakfast with them, I do not have to pay for the meals... :P

My father wanted to eat the carrot cake again at Ang Mo Kio. Hmm... Kind of tired of the carrot cake, so I told him I wanted to eat something else. Actually, he didn't really want me to eat McDonald's all the time, since it was not really healthy, but I told him that the carrot cake is even worst. The oil content is so much higher than the breakfast in McDonald's. Not really sure if they use lard to cook the carrot cake though. If they really did, then it would make it very unhealthy... Anyway, my father let me go to McDonald's to have my breakfast there. I decided to have Hotcakes for breakfast, since I don't feel like eating any meat product that time.

Exam Date for Violin: 27 July 2006 (Thursday)
Haiz... The dates are getting nearer each time... Don't know if my sister will be able to play the piano parts properly or not... Think I must force her to practise more often with me, so that I can coordinate with her.

Anyway, the teacher ask me to book about 2 practise session in the studio, so that he can see how I play, and how I coordinate with the pianist for the exams. Haha... Think he is kind of "afraid to lose"... Yup, I know that the exams are nearing, but I think he is the one that is more worried than me... Hmm... Maybe he didn't want to lose face for having failures, since there will be his name written on the exam sheet itself, as the presenter of the exams. Yup, I can understand that. Think next time I sign up the exams myself directly at the ABRSM representative office, then put the presenter name as myself, so that he don't have to worry to much. Ok, if I pass, I'll get the certificate which contain my names 2 times, one for the candidate, the other for the presenter (that is if I sign up myself). Haha... Kind of odd to present the certificate to myself... Anyway, I did that for my Grade 6 Theory last year, so that's nothing so new.

Flute and Violin Exam Schedules
Ok, these are the schedules for the flute and violin exams on that day.

Flute

Violin

Tired
Just don't know why, after I came back from my lesson, I just feel very tired... Hmm... when I lie on the bed, I just fell asleep straight away. Only woke up when my grandmother asked me to come out to have my dinner. Anyway, as I was feeling very sleepy, I only ate a little bit. Don't really have much appetite though.

Well, I supposed it must be the work that I have that make me so tired... Yup, really wish that my contract ends now... Never mind, just need to bear another 2.5 weeks more...

Flute Exams Nearing!!!

Saturday Morning
Yup, this is one day that I could sleep up very late, but anyway, I woke up at about 8am. Kind of early though, but I just couldn't sleep more. Haha... Skipped breakfast today, too lazy to get the food from the kitchen. Never mind, I can have snacks and lunch later.

Notting Hill: Where Can It Be Found?
Well, in the afternoon, Kavan asked me if I could helped him find Notting Hill when I go for my flute lesson later. He said that he could not find any in stores, and he was feeling unwell after the engineering camp a few days ago. Ok, anyway, I was also going to borders to look around, so I decided to help him help. Well... Sadly I could not find movies titled "Notting Hill" for both DVDs and VCDs. I can only find those DVDs and VCDs that are quite recent. Hmm... Think need to have special orders.

Exam Date for Flute: 13 July 2006 (Thursday)
Yup, I got my exams date for flute, which is about 3 weeks from now... Oh... Who am I going to find to play the piano parts for me? Hmm... Anyway, now still have time to train the person to play it for me. The piano parts are actually easy to play, just need coordination with the flautist. Never mind, I can teach the person to coordinate with me... Hmm... Must quickly get the accompanist soon to practise with me... Maybe I'll ask my sister...

Friday: The Dinner

Work: Still Unfinished
Well, still printing the customer informations from the AS400, so-called the black screen program. Anyway, I could see some progress already. Before I end my work day on Friday, I've already printed more than 40 applications for 20 June 2006, which was just last Tuesday. Hopefully all the customer informations for the past week will be printed by the 1st half of next week. Hmm... I wonder how many trees I have killed in the process of printing... Hopefully the company is buying recycled paper instead...

Applications: Lost
Well, on Friday morning, Veronica told me that some of the applications for 7 June and 9 June had gone missing. She told me if I had misplace it somewhere... Hmm... No matter where I looked, including the rough paper piles, I could not find those applications... Don't know if it had been cleared accidentally by the cleaners... If that was the case, we might had to call up the customers to give us the applications again...

Well, there was just too many applications during the past weeks. It didn't really surprise me when a few of them had gone missing. Anyway, for 7 July, after I've done all the printing, I passed those applications to Cindy straight away, didn't see any applications left lying around. For 9 of July, after keying in all the applications, I put them on Chae Yun's desk straight away, as I had no space on my table, and since Chae Yun was away for a few days. After that, I didn't touch those applications anymore... I also make sure I placed all the applictions there. Well, my conscience is clear.

Lunch: Canadian Pizza
Well, Qiuting managed to get her contract shortened to just 1 month, so it was her last day of work on that day. We decided to order pizzas in for lunch for her last day. Anyway, we decided on Canadian Pizza, since we get 1 large pizza free for 1 large pizza we ordered. Haha... Haven't had pizzas for quite some time already, really enjoy the pizzas a lot. Well, I ate 3 slices. Feel like getting more, but well, must let others eat the pizzas as well, and also shouldn't eat too much or I will grow fat.

We also had some photo-taking inside the lounge as well. Hmm...I see if I could get those photographs from my colleagues and post it on the blog here.

The Kang Association Dinner
My father ask me to come for the dinner. Well, since I had nothing to do at night, I decided to go along for the dinner with my grandfather and my father. Yup, there were a lot of elderlys inside. Hmm... Think the younger generation are not interested to join such clans...

Anyway, there was this magazine they published to commemorates the 40 years of the Kang Association. Well, my father pointed to me that my name was listed a few times under the past "scholarships" sections. Haha... actually the scholarship is quite easy to get, just need at least 70% of your overall final semester results for primary and secondary schools, not really sure about JCs and universities though...

Anyway, I also notice that Hong Joo's name appear many times as well. To confirm if it is him, I message him, and yup, it is Hong Joo. Hmm... In fact he got the scholarship more times than me... Ok... Yup, I know my studies are quite poor last time, especially in secondary school.

Haiz... Too bad Hong Joo is working on that day, if not we might even met during the dinner. Well, at least there's someone you know to talk to during the dinner, so that it wouldn't be so boring with the elderlys... Anyway, I was planning to give one of the Kang Associoation commemorative magazine to Hong Joo for him to read. We are both "Kang", yup. Haha...

Well, since Hong Joo's parents or grandparents is also part of the Kang Association, this would mean that we might have even met each other way before we served our National Service. Hmm... Could he be one of my long lost friends?

Anyway, the dinner was quite good, I have to say. Well, they kind of like to serve soups and food with gravy... Taste quite good though... Kind of enjoy it, but think I ate only a little, since we had to share our tables with another family. Kind of a bit shy to take too much though...

A Mass of Work

Wednesday: Overtime
Sadly, there's no overtime for me, just normal pay, since I did not hit the 44 working hours for the week, as I took 1/2 day leave on Monday and full day leave on Tuesday. Well, the 3 of us, Serene, Chae Yun and me, were being asked whether we could stay behind to do the work, and well, we agreed to that. Anyway, Chae Yun and me never done any OT before, so we decided to try.

Anyway, for the whole day on Wednesday, I was just using that black screen program (AS400) for the whole day, including the OT, printing out all the customer informations. Think I must have used up almost about one box of paper, each box containing 5 rims of 500 sheets of paper. Haha... Anyway, I almost fell asleep while working, just didn't have that energy to do work during OT.

We end our work at about 8.15pm. I was feeling so tired that I could just dropped on the streets and sleep straight away... Haha... at least I was still able to kept myself awake until I got back home.

When I reached back home, I had my dinner and went to sleep striaght away... Just so tired...

Thursday: Doing the Same Thing
Yup, I continue printing the customer informations with the AS400 the whole. Think I used up more than 4 rims of paper, which is going to be another box of papers. Haiz... I must be getting so environmental unfriendly while working, don't know how many trees I had killed to print all these things... Just hoped that they are recycled papers.

Anyway, I was hogging the printer most of the time, since I print all the customers informations all at one shot. Haha... Think some people must be mad at me for hogging the printer... Anyway, in the morning, I had to print more than 800 pages of customers informations at one shot, and in the afternoon, another 900 pages. Think each of them took more than half an hour to be completed... Yup, I would usually print 600 to more than 1000 pages each time when there was a lot to print. Serene was getting a bit impatient about that... Haha... Well, they should not have come up with the Visa Platinum promotions to the customers, just make us used up so much energy and time to do all these things...

Well, at least the new temp staff helped me to key in the paper applications, and open and sort the mails out. I don't have to worry too much about that, so that I can concentrate on printing...

After I finish my work day, I was feeling so tired... My eyes just feel tired with all the computer work, my fingers feels so numb and tired after all the tapping I did on the keyboard... Yup, that's just how bad it is to work in Maybank...

Tuesday: The Happiest Day!!!

Feeling Extremely Happy
Haha... Just don't know why, I'm feeling sooooooooo happy today. Hmm... my mood was feeling extremely high the whole day. Haha... I was sooooooooo happy that I almost went bonkers... Haha... Hmm... Mayber because I applied leave today? Well, At least I could stay away from work today Haha...

Anyway, even though I felt happy, and I took leave from work, I didn't went out shopping. Haha... Just feeling lazy... Anyway, it was raining in the morning, so it is really a nice weather to stay at home at relax. Yup, I actually like to relax myself on the bed during rainy weathers. It just feel so comfortable...

Well, I was feeling kind of tired and sleepy in the afternoon, so I decided to take an afternoon nap. Thought of going out to get some music scores, but as I was feeling very lazy, I decided not to do so. Haha...

Movie Monday

Work
Well, today when I summit the timesheet for Jeannie to sign, I asked if I could take 1/2 day leave on Monday, and full day leave on Tuesday. Well, she asked me whether if there would be anyone to cover my work, and yup, there was this new temp staff, who is my understudy, to cover the paper applications for me. Well, she said ok.

Haha... I took half day on Monday, so that I could catch the movie "Slither" with Chun Hoo and Wei Qiang at 6.40pm at GV Plaza. If I were to work the whole day, I could only finish my work on 6.15pm, reach Yio Chu Kang station at about 6.25pm. By the time I reached Plaza Singapura, it would be almost 7pm already. Think all the long advertisement would have ended and the show started for several minutes by the time we got in at 7pm.

Movie
Ok, anyway, after my half day of work, I went back home to rest, before going at at about 4+. When I reached there, Chun Hoo haven't reached yet, so I decided to go to Music Essentials to look at the scores for Grade 5 flute. Haha... I was actually preparing for Grade 5 flute already, when I haven't even take my Grade 3 flute this year.

Went back to Plaza Singapura and met Chun Hoo at comics connections. Well, he said that after buying tickets, he went to Yamaha to look for the music scores that he wanted to buy, but it was already sold out. The last time he seen those music scores was 2 weeks ago. Haha... If that's me, I would have bought the scores once I saw what I wanted to buy straight away. Sorry, when comes to this, I do not have the patience to wait and think. Haha...

Met Wei Qiang later at an electronic stores, and we had our dinner at Burger King. Well, they have the Garfield meal there, so I decided to try out. It's something like the fish burger in Burger King, just that they used some sweet sauce on the Fish Burger, forgot what is it called.

After that, we went to the movie theatre. Well, as I had late lunch and early dinner, I did not buy any popcorn to eat, which was kind of unusual of me. Ok, anyway, I have to say that the movie is a gory movie with humour... Well, this movie was just... well, just don't know how I should describe it...

Father's Day

Another Resting Day
Yup, it's Father's Day, but my father had to go to work in late mornings. Well, since I did not have violin lesson on that day, I could just stay at home and rest. Thought of going out to walk around, but as I was feeling lazy, I decided to stay at home.

Ok, I was feeling kind of tired in the afternoon. My anut and my cousin came during late afternoon. I let my cousin use the computer, and went to my room to sleep. Haha... I was just feeling sooooo tired... Well, as we were going out for dinner, my mother walk me up at about 6.45pm. Haha... Don't feel like waking up... Well, I just got of the bed and continue resting on the sofa...

Father's Day
Well, yup, it's father's day, but my father still have to pay for the dinner. Kind of ironical, but well, he was the one who earned the highest amount in the family. My mother was just working part time as an NTUC cashier, and my sister was working in OCBC as personal banker, which don't get paid as much as my father though. Well, anyway, we just ate the usual think in the hawker centre near NTUC Bishan.

Well, on my way home, we saw someone pushing an NTUC trolley full of goods inside back home. Well, my mother's friend commented on how they could do such things when the trolley belongs to NTUC. We also saw other people pushing the NTUC trolley from home to do shopping. Well, my mother, who is working in NTUC in Thomson, said that a lot of people did that, and the trolley cost about $300 each. Well, people didn't really think how much NTUC had to spend on the trolleys... :P

Slack Saturday

Yamaha Course Holiday
Yup, it's course holiday, so there's no flute and violin lesson this weekend. I was wondering what I should do during this weekend. Thought of sleeping the whole day, but that would do no good to my body, so I decided to walk around in the city area.

Well, wanted to alight off at Novena to had my lunch there, but as the train was fully pack, I couldn't get off to that station easily, so I decided to go to City Hall instead, not to have lunch though. After reaching there, I went to the library@esplanade to browse through some music scores. Well, in the library, they were going to hold some music perfomances there, one of them is performed by students in Nanyang Junior College Piano Ensemble, yup my alma mater (not my CCA though, last time there's no such CCA in NYJC). They were performing some pieces by Mozart. Thought of staying back to listen to the performances though, but as I had not had my lunch yet, I decided to leave before the performances start.

Anyway, as I went inside to City Hall station to take the train to Dhoby Ghaut, there was already a big group of commuters from the East-West Line train waiting for the train. After that, the next East-West Line train came, and there were even more commuters coming out to board the North-South Line train. Wow... with that many people, I would not be able to squeeze inside the train!!! Ok, so I decided to hop on to the East-West Line train and board the train to Outram Park, then transfer to North-East Line and took the train to Dhoby Ghaut. Yup, that would be 3 stations apart for East-West line, and 3 stations apart for North-East line, in total, 6 stations apart. Well, it was definitely took much longer time to travel in that way, but at least the price is still the same for traveling 1 station apart with North-South Line. Haha...

Anyway, I had my lunch at Yoshinoya at 4pm. Yup, I know it is very late. I usually had late lunch on weekends. Anyway, after lunch, as I was feeling very tired, I decided to go back home.

Dinner
Well, as my mother and my grandmother was not cooking, my sister and I went to Swensen's to had our dinner. I had my chicken baked rice for dinner, since there was no set meals for main course (Fish and Chips, Chicken Cutlet...), and the baked rice is one of the cheapest in Swensen's. Well, as it is Father's day tomorrow, my sister and I decided to buy an ice cream cake (mango flavour) for our father. Haha... We like ice cream cakes... :P

Runaway Vacation

Friday
Yup, Friday again. Well, I decided to left my understudy alone to do the work himself. Anyway, the new temp staff got their password in the afternoon, so finally, I could work using my own account without having to borrow from some other people's account. Well, anyway, if my understudy had any questions, he could just ask me, and if I can't help, I'll have to ask the perm staff there. Hmm... Don't know if I missed out anything or not...

For lunch, we went to NYP canteen to eat, even though it rained very heavily earlier. Well, Chae Yun wanted to take a passport size photographs to summit with the Form A for NUS admission, and there was one photo-taking machine there. There was also a place that sell stamps and a mailbox in the shopping arcade. Ok, we finished our lunch very early, so we decided to walk around in the shopping arcade.

Movie: Runaway Vacation (RV)
Well, the 4 of us, Wei Qiang, Hong Joo, Andrew and me met up for the movie. As Wei Qiang ended his lesson at 5.30pm at NAFA, and Hong Joo did not have to work on that day, they met up earlier. Hmm... I was wondering if they did some shopping before I arrived at Plaza Singapura to meet them. Well, after meeting Wei Qiang and Hong Joo outside Giordano, we met Andrew at the entrance of Plaza Singapura.

We were still discussing about what to eat after Andrew came. Well, we decided to have our dinner at Ajisen Ramen. Wei Qiang ordered the volcano ramen, which is supposed to be the spiciest ramen they offered there. I wanted to try that out as well, so I ordered one for myself also. Wow... The volcano ramen is indeed spicy... So spicy I almost finish my drink before I started on my sides. Well, even though it's spicy, I find it very "thrilling" to my tastebud due to the spiciness, and also it taste great as well. Wanted to finish the ramen gravy, but as I ran out of drinks for myself, I decided not to. Haha... Have that burning sensation on my lips after eating the ramen, but I don't mind about that feeling. Haha... :P

After dinner, we went to Cathay and get the tickets I booked earlier. Hmm... They weren't much people in the cinema, so I guess I shoudn't have book the tickets online. Well, never mind, just only 50 cents more for the booking fee. Anyway, I still buy popcorn (salted) as usual. Well, it has always been a habit of eating popcorn (salted) since I first started watching movie when I was in primary 3, yup I started off my first movie with salted popcorn. Anyway, for those people who want to know, the first movie that I watch in theatres was "The Flintstones".

Anyway, about RV, I had to say that the movie of kind of lame, but funny and humourous. Ok, this is just one movie that I would especially want to watch, as it releases all my stress that I had from work. Yup, when stressed, I need to laugh out all I want to release the stress.

The New Comers

Wednesday
Yup, just another day of work also. Anyway, the mailman was not there on that day, so someone else went to open the mails and sort them out. Haiz... as there was one pile of mails in the morning (meant to be done on Tuesday), and one more pile in the afternoon, that means I'll have 2 days work with the mails... Aiyoh... I was opening the mails and keying applications the whole day.

For lunch, we went to the nearest canteen at NYP again. Haha... I make a mistake, the graduation ceremony will be held next week. Anyway, when we go there, the canteen seemed quite empty. Hmm... Don't see much students on that day. Not really sure what they were having now.

In the afternoon, Serene told Chae Yun and us that there will be 4 new temporary staffs coming in on Thursday. Haha... We were quite excited. Anyway, there were sooooooooooo much work to be done, so we really need more people. She also heard there will be 2 males and 2 females, and 1 of the 4 temp staffs would be an Indian. Well, so far that's what Serene heard, we were not really sure if that would be true, so we had to cross our fingers...

The New Temp Staffs
Well, when we step into Maybank building, we saw 3 person sitting outside the reception desk, 2 males and 1 indian female. Hmm... Well, we supposed that would be the new temp staffs, since they were holding on to the recruit express work contracts. Well, just wondering which department would they be going.

Ok, while keying in applications, Pauline told Chae Yun and me that there will be 3 new temp staff joining us, so she ask us when they could sit. Well, one of them could sit beside Chae Yun, as there was an unuse computer beside her. So, the person would become Chae Yun's understudy. For the other 2, one of them become Guan Si understudy, the other, which is Sean, become my understudy.

So far, I had never talk so much before. Haiz... well, in order for him to help us out, we need to teach him what we do for work first, right. Haha... Sean kept moaning on how much work we had to do, as the applications kept coming in. Well, I never moaned so much during my first day of work. Haha... Well, when I teach him about printing customer inquiries (Sema) on AS/400, he seemed very stunned. He said that he would not remember anything about what I teach him. He also said he will suffer for the next 3 months. Hmm... Think I should be the one that say that... At least his upperstudy (which is me) will be with him for about 1 month. What about my upperstudy? She left after 2 working days we started work, as she ended her polytechnic attachment. Well, I was left alone to do my work after 2 working days from the first day of work, with Chae Yun and Serene... Think we should be the one that should feel scared... Haha... Actually I was wondering how would I be able to cope when I still did not know anything when I just started work... Well, the only think that stress me is the number of roadshows and promotions going on out there, which make me work so much more, because there were just too many applications coming in.

Anyway, there was also a new temp staff at Sock Mui's side. Well, as Sock Mui had gone to Korea (South Korea I mean, no one would want to go North Korea), Shu Hua had to teach her what she should do for her job. Hmm... Anyway, so far I only know my understudy name, Sean. Don't know about the other 3 though. If I'm not wrong, all the 4 of them are currently in SIM, having their vacation now. Ok, no wonder why they could still find temp staffs... Since there were new comers, we went to Tech Point canteen to had our lunch instead. Well, new comers have to know the nearest canteen, right?

Tomorrow will be another day of talking again. Still have quite a lot of things to explain to my understudy. Well, as I was using Serene's computer to work today, since Sean was using mine, and Serene went for her medical checkup for NTU admission, that woould mean that tomorrow I had to find another computer to work on when Serene is back tomorrow... Hmm... for the other 3 computers, one of them is spoilt, one of them is being use very intensively as there were more access to other sites, and the last one is occupied by Guan Si's understudy. Though he would not use much computer, that computer is mostly used by Connie to do her work. Well, think I had to try the computer besides Cindy's one...

Tuesday: Piano Tuning Day

Where's The Mailman?
Hmm... The mailman don't seem to be inside the bank working today. There's always nothing much to collect from my department pigeonhole. Well, I realised that there's one big bulk of mails that are meant for us to process... Ok, that means that the mailmen were not here working today, which also means tomorrow will be an extremely hectic day... Another dead day for me...

There were also a lot of fax coming in today, but not as many as yesterday. Well, I managed to complete keying those fax in applications, and also have time to print out the customers inquiries. Woah... After priniting the customers inquiries for 35 Visa Platinum upgrade applications, I've alreadyt used up almost 2 rims of paper... Hmm... I wonder how many trees I had killed... Hopefully they are all recycled paper...

Lunch at Tech Point
Ok, the sky turned dark when we were to go for lunch. The perm staff who were already at Tech Point canteen called us to help them bring their umbrellas there. Ok, so we just decided to have our lunch at Tech Point. Haha... Again had that vegetarian bee hoon for lunch. Think I should start eating something else next time. Anyway, Guan Si came along with us to Tech Point canteen and brought his own oatmeal with raisins again. He said that he was going to have that for 1 month of lunch, after having 2 months of cup noodles in the office. Hmm...

Piano Tuning
When I got home, I realised that the things that were placed on top of the piano were being moved. Well, I supposed the piano tuner had come to our house and tune the piano, and yup, my grandmother confirmed with me about that. Ok, so I decided to play the piano to hear how it sounds now. Hmm... seemed to have clearer sound, but the person still tune it a bit flat... Well, I supposed the strings are too old already, so it might be difficult to tune it sharper, and if they do so, the strings might snapped. Well, piano strings are very difficult to change. When you look inside the piano, can can see how the strings on the left side are cross over with the strings on the right side. Moreover, the keys on the middle of the piano uses 2 strings per key, while the keys on the right side uses 3 strings per key... Piano strings are just quite complicated (well, maybe for me...). Might pose some problems when changing strings.

Still remember when I was young, I would always look at how the piano tuner tuned the piano, at the same time, look at how the inside looked like. Haha... It can looked interesting. Some just used their ears and a tuning fork to tune the piano, others need a device to tune a piano. Well, they need to play all the 88 keys and, at the same time, use a driver and tune the piano, by turning the tuning pins. Take quite some time to tune the piano. Yup, can be kind of a hard work.

Still remember last time Shengjie asked me while I can't tune the piano strings on my own, when people can tune their guitar and violin on their own. Well, piano strings are not like guitar or violin strings. There are 88 keys needed to be tune, unlike guitar, which only have 6, or violin, which only have 4. Guitar have tabs, which can be used as a guide for tuning other strings, once you tune the low E string properly. For violin, once you tune the A string, you can just use your ears and tune other strings perfect 5th apart. Piano? Well, there are 88 keys to be tuned. There are no tabs inside the piano to guide you in tuning. You can tune the piano by perfect 5th, perfect 4th, or whatever note apart. Piano, unlike violin, is a well-tempered instrument, which means all the keys are equally spaced (using logarithm). After all, on the piano, the perfect 5th are not really that perfect, it is a bit flater than the actual perfect 5th. Can't tune a perfect piano, or else Ii'll only be restricted to playing only certain keys on the piano, and also restrictions on modulations as well. Anyway, 88 strings are just too much for an amateur to handle. If I tune the piano, think the piano will sound awkard, becuase many notes might be out of tune with the others... Better not tune myself, it's ok to spend some money on the piano tuner. Anyway, they also help you to regulate the piano, so that the piano wouldn't spoil so easily.

Monday Blues: Almost Asleep While Working

Tired
Whoa... I just really couldn't keep my eyes open... So tired... For the whole day today (other than the 1 hour lunch break), I had to face the computer whole, to use online one thing, WebEA. Can't imaging using the internet explorer for the whole day... At least when I'm at home, I'll take breaks after using for quite some time. Too bad that's not the case in the office...

Anyway, the fax just kept coming in, there will always be applications for me to key in. Well, even after 6pm, someone still pass me a stack of applications needed to be keyed in. Ok, I'll just leave that to tomorrow. Anyway, I still haven't finished my statistics yet, but I have to say that the Visa Platinum applications totalled to be 196., just 4 more to 200. Haha... Tomorrow will just be another hectic day... Basically, I'm already dead... :P

Lunch
Today we went to the Neighbourhood Police Centre to have our lunch. Hmm... Thought that they might go to Tech Point canteen instead, as they felt very tired... Well, we still managed to walk there. Surprisingly, Guan Si followed us to the NPC. He brought his own food there though. Well, that's really a difference. He brought his own oat meals to eat. Well, he said that he was having a diet... Hmm... Come to think of it, I think I really need a diet... Think I'm getting fatter already... No no no... That would just spoil my image. Ok, think it's time for me to eat less (especially fatty food), and exercise more... Well, when can I start? That's a good question...

Sunday Madness

The Morning Madness
Always kind of get a bit mad and frustrated when my parents waked me up early on Sunday mornings... To me, weekends are meant to sleep up late. Well, it's ok not to have breakfast... Well, never mind, since I've already woken up, I just went out with them for breakfast. Anyway, I wasn't the one paying for breakfast, so it wouldn't hurt my wallet anyway. Yup, I had that vegetarian bee hoon again. Think I must be really crazy about vegetarian bee hoon... :P

Violin
Well, we were still stuck at study no. 9. Hmm... I wonder when can we get on to the next one, think we had been playing that for a few months already. Anyway, we didn't do the pieces from Suzuki violin quite recently. Think the teacher wanted us to focus on a piece from Grade 2 Violin exam pieces. He said that the piece involved 2 flats, which can be quite difficult for a violinist to handle, not like piano, some woodwind instruments or most brass instruments. Yup, there were quite a lot of accidentals (sharps, flats and naturals appearing very often) in the piece, so we need to shift our fingers very often. Kind of hurt a bit though... Anyway, my fingertips seemed to get harder each time I played such pieces...

Movie: Cars
Yup, after my lesson, I met up with Wei Qiang and Dezhi to watch a movie "Cars". Before that, I had my lunch in Plaza Singapura. Kind of hard to find any seats in food court and fast-food restaurants, so when I found an empty seats in KFC, I just grabbed it and order my food straight away.

Met Wei Qiang and Dezhi at McDonald's at about 3.30pm. Well, they were having their iced coffee from Starbucks and French Fries from McDonald's. Hmm... Come to think of it, I haven't had ice-blended coffee for quite sometime already. So, one day, I must visit Coffee Bean and buy a cup of ice-blended mocha there. Got that cravings now... :P Anyway, they commented that the french fries were very salty. Yup, I can see a lot of salt in the french fries. Hmm... why can't they use more salt in the Junction 8 McDonald's instead?

Anyway, the movie wasn't that bad, as compared to what Shi Qing had said. Well, the 3 stars given by 8 Days was still reasonable enough. Haha... I like the last parts about the car version of the past Pixar movies.

Jobless Club
Haiz... More people in the Jobless Club... I really wish I could join the club... Haiz... Still must bear a few more weeks... I want to join this "pretegious" club... So nice... Anyway, my head's going to explode already after working...

The Farewell Dinner

A Lazy Morning
Just feel like sleeping even longer... I'm that kind of person that needs at least 10 hours of sleep... Haha... Too bad my mother switch off the aircon from my room, so I just have to wake up, and idle around (haha).

A Cloudy Afternoon
The sky looks kind of dark in the afternoon. The winds are blowing inside my house very strongly. It was so strong that all the loose papers inside my room fly over everywhere. I had to quickly shut the windows, pick up all the papers inside my room and pack and arrange them nicely again. Kind of troblesome to do that. Anyway, I afraid that it might rain even heavily later, so I decided to go out earlier.

Before I went to Plaza Singapura to have my lesson, I went to Borders to have a look around. Well, I cam across this CD, which is Mozart's Piano Duets. Haha, it kind of sound light and nice, so I decided to buy that one. Ok, now I gain another UNI$5 for that.

After that, I walk to Plaza Singapura from Borders. Yup, it is like 2 MRT station apart, but the distance is still walkable, I can assure you that. Anyway, today the streets in Orchard didn't seem so crowded. Well, I supposed it was because of the rain, so the people would want to stay inside the shopping centre instead.

When I reached Plaza Singapura, I went to have a haircut at EC House. Yup, I still cut it like I was in army, just that it was not as short as the one in army. Ok, I don't call it army hairstyle, it is called High Slope. Yup, I got another comb again from EC House. Looks like I'll have a collection of EC House comb again. Anyway, I just threw away all the combs I got from EC House, because there were too many of them.

After that, I went to GV Plaza to buy movie ticket for tomorrow. Yup, if you want to watch any movie from GV Plaza, you have to get the tickets the day before (unless you are watching it on a working + schooling days). This is jut one of the most crowded cinemas in Singapore. Another crowded one is Cathay Orchard Cineleisure. GV Marina and GV Bishan can also get very crowded on weekdays evening and weekends, so it's the best to buy tickets much earlier as well. You can also do online bookings, but you need to pay $1 more for the booking fee.

Ok, I ask Dezhi and Hong Joo whether they wanted to watch "Cars" tomorrow. Well, both of them thought it's today, and they can't make it today. Anyway, I told them that Wei Qiang and I will be watching tomorrow, but will be buying the tickets today. Well, Dezhi said that he can make it tomorrow, while Hong Joo said that he don't feel like coming. Ok, so I bought 3 tickets. Well, just hope that Dezhi is able to make it, or else I have to ask another person to watch with us.

Flute
Haha... I realised that I need more practise on my pieces and scales. I haven't been practising for quite some time, so I played quite badly. Never mind, I'll spend some time practising my flute and violin. Hmm... about the accompanist, I just hope that my sister can make it though... She really need to practise more about the piano parts, I have to comment.

Anyway, I was the piano accompanist for today, for my classmates to practise on. Well, most of my classmates are taking Grade 2 Flute, so ok, I have to practise all by myself at home. Anyway, I have to accompanied this girl for her Grade 2 Flute in July, so think I might have to accompanied 2 person, this girl, and Johanna (who will be taking Grade 3 Flute).

Farewell Dinner
After my flute lesson, I went back home, and went out with my family to my relative house. Well, they will be emigrating to Italy so, so they were holding a farewell dinner at her house. Haha... the food is nice, I have to say. There were pasta, pizza, chilli crabs, chicken cutlet, chinese pork buns popiahs and so on. Haha, they even have gelatos as well. Haha... The gelatos were really sweet, I have to say. Hope that I could finish the whole tub...

Anyway, she also invited her primary school and secondary school classmates for the dinner as well. Oh my god, she still keep contacts with her primary school and secondary school classmates. When she was in secondary school, I wasn't even born yet. Hmm... So nice, still able to keep contacts for more than 30 years. Haha... Think I should be very embarrassed, I already lost most of my contacts with my primary school, secondary school, and even junior college classmates. Haiz... I ought to be ashamed of myself... Well, never mind, think those very few secondary classmates and my camp mates will be one of my last chance...

Well, my relative will be leaving Singapore on 3rd July, Monday, at about 9+pm. Hmm... Maybe we might see them off on the airport. Well, if you don't know, my aunt marry an Italian, so well, they are moving to Italy to live there. Ok, I have to say that I have 2 eurasion cousins. Haha... Kind of cool and interesting to have that.

Breaking the Record

Highest in Number So Far

200+ APS!!!

That's the first time in Maybank I ever wrote a 3-digit number that starts with a 2 for statistics. The customers just kept faxing in the upgrade application forms throughout the whole day. Well, the only program that I used is the WebEA (using the Internet Explorer). My eyes kind of hurt after prolong usage of WebEA. I wonder how many degrees are both my eyesight now.

Anyway, that's not all yet. The customer inquiries for all the 200+ applications are not printed yet. Ok, on Monday, there will be 200+ movement charts to be matched, 200+ customer inquiries to be printed, even more fax coming in, more mails coming in... Ok, I'm dead already...

Where Is The Person in the Box?
Ok, where's that person inside the "box"? Well, we were supposed to hand in our timesheet today, but because our head wasn't around to sign our timesheet, we had to wait until the next time to hand in our timesheet... Ok, never mind, at least I can see a larger amount of money during the next pay... Anyway, we have decided to hand in the timesheet on the VERY 1ST WORKING DAY of the week we need to hand in our time sheet, just in case she did some disappearing magic again (well, if we had to hand in on Monday, and she's not around, then that's too bad for us then).

The World of Nanyang
Yup, we had our lunch at Nanyang Polytechnic again, despite all the drizzles and rains. Thst was our 3rd consecutive day we had lunch at NYP. Today, we went to the 2nd nearest canteen from where we enter, which is the canteen that sells fast food. Well, there were only 3 stalls they, but the variety of food were considered quite wide (just imagine there was like 3 fast food franchise operating there). Thought of trying out something else from other stalls, but in the end, I bought the Filet o Fish meal from McDonald's instead.

Hmm... The sandwich there looks kind of nice. Think next time I'll try out the sandwiches there. Anyway, there were jost too many food over there that I wanted to try out... Haha... hopefully there will be more NYP lunch trip next time.

Next week we won't be visiting NYP so often, becuase there will be NYP graduation going on. Haha... There will be just too many people inside all the 4 canteens, so think we might face some problems looking for seats and buying food if we are to go there to have lunch.

The Busiest Day

So Busy Today
Ok, now Maybank have come up with a new stunts... They are letting people to upgrade their card to Visa Platinum without income limit for a time period (of course the income must still be at least $30000 a year). Ok, the customers kept faxing in this application form for the whole of morning and afternoon. There were so many of them, think about 140+ applications coming in... Whoa... Not only I have to key in the applications, I have to print out the inquiries as well... Well, at least I managed to key in all the applications they faxed in today, only managed to print out about 60% of the inquiries so far for today... Haiz... Tomorrow will be another hectic day... More applications coming in, even more applications for me to print the inquiries, and there will be a lot of movement charts for me to be matched as well... I can see the towers growing on my desk.

Kind of odd, there wasn't any mails coming in today... Hmm... think the mailman might be taking a break. Well, that means that there will be even more mails tomorrow... Ok, that's really the end of me... More mails, more applications, more work, same pay... I really don't want to live anymore... :(

Lunch at NYP Again
Yup, we had our lunch at Nanyang Polytechnic again. Ok, the 4 of us, Sock Mui, Justina, Serene and me went to the furthest canteen (the school of engineering canteen), from the gate we enter, to have our lunch, while the rest of them, Guan Si, Hui Li, Shu Hua, Chew Ting and Qiao'E had their lunch at NYP Food Junction. Anyway, I didn't expect the food to be so cheap there. Well, I had my Fish and Chips again. Haha... Ok, I had to admit that I like Fish and Chips since I was young. Well, there is also this muslim stall in the canteen where the vendor like to give a lot of food to the customers. You get a hill of rice, and a lot of sides as well, for just a small cost. Haha... think kind of worth it, especially for people with big appetite. Anyway, even if you request for less rice, the vendor will just remove a bit of the peak of the hill, sill giving you a slightly shorter hill of rice. Haha... you will never feel hungry from eating the muslim stall from the canteen in NYP school of engineering.

The fruits there are cheap also. A slice of papaya only cost 30 cents, whereas the canteen at Tech Point cost 50 cents. The guava at that NYP canteen cost 50 cents, whereas the one at Tech Point cost 60 cents, and the Tech Point guavas are smaller in quantity and is a bit over-ripe. Ok, think the Tech Point canteen want to earn more money from the working people, since they have more money... That's why we don't go to Tech Point canteen so often (even though it's the nearest food centre from our office).

Wednesday, The Mid-Week

More Applications
Today seemed to have more applications. Anyway, I haven't count the number of new applications yet, so not really sure if there are more today. Anyway, there's credit card applications for rejected CreditAble applications coming in today, plus one person from SCM gave me this one big pile of applications to key in... Haha... managed to finish priniting all the inquiries just before I knock off from work. Tomorrow, I'll have to photocopy some documents and calculate the applicants income in the morning, so there's more work to do.

Anyway, for those people who want to know what is the approval and rejection rate for credit card applications, I have here some estimated statistics (in percentage) that I collected from all sorts of credit card applications, including additional supplementary card applications, permanent credit limit increase and so on.

Applications (Card) From Jan 2006 to May 2006
Approved:
55.23%
Rejected: 36.06%
Unmateralised: 8.71%

Applications (Card) Up to May 2006
Approved: 47.10%
Rejected: 46.56%
Unmateralised: 6.34%

Lunch
Ok, we went to Nanyang Polytechnic to have our lunch again. Anyway, there's 4 canteen in NYP, which are 2 non air-con canteen, 1 air-con food court and 1 fast food canteen. We went to the nearest canteen to have our lunch today. Never tried the Western food there before, and since there were quite few people today for lunch as well, I decided to try the Fish and Chips there (usually the person will take some time to cook the food). Anyway, the price is $2.80, and the quantity is quite small... Think I took only a few bites to finish all the fish... Didn't buy any other food though...

After that we went to walk around at NYP. There was a bazaar going on at NYP concourse. We went there to have a look, but we realised that we left Ranneth behind in the toilet, so we quickly went back and look for him... Haha... He was just outside the shopping arcade, waiting for us.

Well, tomorrow we might be going back to NYP to have our lunch there again. Think we might be going to the furthest canteen, so we might need to leave the office earlier. Hmm... Who cares what our head would say when we had longer lunch break?

11 Hours of Sleep!!!

A Long Sleep
OMG... I can't believe I slept for like 11 hours last night!!! Well, after I had my dinner, at around 8 plus, I went to bed and relax... Didn't expect myself to fall asleep so quickly. Hmm... I think I must be extremely tired... Yup, I''ve been a panda, a zombie, or maybe a zombified panda, for sooooooooooo many days... Haha... Anyway, when I woke up about 7 plus this morning, I was still feeling very sleepy... Haha... Is that the end of me? Hope not... I still have something that I haven't achieve yet... Cannot be gone just like that, right?

Monday and Tuesday Work Matters
Ok, Chae Yun still went to work on Monday morning before she left to Malaysia on the same evening. She went back home during lunchtime. Well, at least she managed to complete all the Monday's work before she went away. Luckily Cindy will be helping her to cover her duties. At least I won't be so busy for the next few days when chae Yun's away.

Today, my head complaint to our supervisor that we (the temp staffs) talk too loudly during lunchbreak on Monday. Well, it's lunchbreak, why would she want to care so much about how noisy we are. I mean you will talk to your friends about anything any any stuff, like what you did for weekends, any good movies showing currently, and so on during lunchbreak, right? Anyway, our supervisor was really nice, she told our head that because Chae Yun will be away for a few days, so we wish her all the best for her short journey. Haha... Nice one.

Well, by right we planned to go to Nanyang Polytechnic to have our lunch today, but as it rained very heavily from morning to afternoon, we decided to have lunch at Tech Point canteen today. Haha... I actually ate the exact same thing as yesterday's lunch for today. Just have cravings with bee hoon... Don't know why though...

Well, there were quite few applications coming in today, think I keyed in less than 40 new applications before I end my workday. Haha... basically I was just playing with the WebEA (the Maybank webpage that I used to key in the applications) and the SEMA (which is the AS400, which I use to print out the customer inquiries). Just nothing much to do for today...

McDonald's Salad
Well, I haven't tried the salad from McDonald's yet, so I decided to buy the salad as part of my dinner as well. The salad cost $2.50 per bowl, which is cheaper than the one sold in Mos Burger (think about $3+), for the same size. Well, the McDonald's salad doesn't have corn inside, but the salad sauce is quite nice. Anyway, the overall is still ok, think I would by McDonald's salad in the future.

Another Tired Day...

Morning
Haiz... Actually, I don't want to wake up in the morning... Wish I could sleep until 11 plus... But... Anyway, my parents wake me up to go out with them for breakfast, and they switched of the air-con in my bedroom... Ok, can't really sleep without the air-con, so I just wake up and go out with them.

They wanted to eat that famous carot cake in Ang Mo Kio, so I just went to McDonald's alone to have my breakfast. Hmm... The staff in McDonald's seems friendlier than usual... I wonder if they were being told to be more friendly and helpful to the customers... Anyway, it didn't matters much with me anyway.

Violin
Yup, still tired, but I still have to go for my lessons, me paid for the course fees already. Again, never pracitise for 1 week. Anyway, I think I was training for my sight-reading instead. In fact, that's how I trained for my sight-reading for piano last time. Too bad still get mediocre scores for Grade 8 piano sight reading, think I only got 15/21 for that, just pass by 1 mark. Haha...

Anyway, exams coming, me still haven't find a piano accompanist yet. Hmm... too bad cannot use CDs, MP3s, midi files or any sort of audio files inside the exams, must get a live accompanist. Still looking though...

Sleep
When I reached home, I was feeling sooooo sleepy... Just kept closing my eyes when I used the computer... I thought by resting on the bed for a while would make me feel less sleepy, but I just sleep straight away for like 2 to 3 hours... Haiz...

Looking for Piano Accompanist(s)

Piano Accompanist for Exams
Well, I'm looking for piano accompanist(s) for my Grade 2 violin and Grade 3 flute exams Anyway volunteer? Well, my exams are somewhere between July to September, which is like just only a few months time. Haha... Sorry for being too last minute...

Well, I need any piano accompanist which can play the piano with up to a certain level (think at least about Grade 4 to 5). Ok, if you can't play well, I can help you to train. Anyway, I promised that the piano part is only like up to Grade 3 standard.

If you are interested to help me out, you can contact me here, through MSN or send SMS to me.

Tired Saturday...

Tired...
Wah... So tired this morning... I just don't even want to wake up from the bed... I wish I could sleep longer. Anyway, my mother wake me up to tell me to eat my breafast. Ok... I just had a light one, and use the computer for a while, and go back to bed again...

Could have slept even longer, but as my mother is having her off day today, she want to spend some time cleaning up the house, especially my bedroom. She said that y bedroom is very messy, but I didn't bother to pack my things, because I used to a messy bedroom. Well, at least I could still find my things with the mess, but after she cleaned up my room, haha... I had some problems finding the things that I need or want...

Anyway, as I was sleeping in my room, she started cleaning the bedroom and pack all the things there... Just couldn't really sleep during that time, so I decided to wake up, use the computer, bathe and go out for some window-shopping before my flute lesson.

Orchard Road
Haven't been walking there for quite some time. Anyway, the place is as crowded as usual. Even though there's Great Singapore Sales going on now, the crowd is still the same as normal... I supposed Singaporeans really like shopping. Haha...

Anyway, when I went to Kinokuniya at Takashimaya Shopping Centre, I spotted a comic book, Doraemon Plus volume 5. Haha... It's finally out... Well, there's only like a few copies left on the shelves, so I supposed it must have been out for quite some time already... Didn't notice that though. Maybe I haven't been to the comics shop or the comics section in bookshops for quite some time. Anyway, I just bought it straight away. Haven't read it yet though.

After that, I went to Toy-R-Us at Paragon. Well, a few days back, my colleagues were talking about the sales in Toy-R-Us. I was quite interested in that (Haha... I just can't grow up, even after my national serivce...), so I decided to take a look. Well, they had discounts on some items there. Too bad none of the board games that I wanted have discounts... Well, hopefully there will be a Christmas discounts for those things.

There's also this glass Sudoku that is pack in a suitcase like hard casing. Haha... Thought it was quite interesting, but they only had 100 puzzles for the Sudoku... Hmm... if they had liken 1000 puzzles, then I'll definitely buy that glass Sudoku.

I also noticed that they were selling some arcade-like toys inside as well. You know those machine where you had to try to pick up one of the soft toys by controlling the claws, and the machine that will give you a lot of coins if you are lucky enough? Haha... They had the mini version of them selling inside there. Thought it's quite interesting... I could use that to practise picking up the soft toys, then next time when I'm very experience enough, then I could use the real thing and keep collecting the soft toys... Haha... Well, about the machine that give coins one, they also had the tilt sensor system, where if you tilt the machine, the alarm will sound of, just like the real one in the arcade. They also have the mini jackpot machine inside there as well... Kind of interesting to me...

After that, I went to Plaza Singapura to have my lunch there. Well, it's late lunch, think I had it at about 3.30pm. Usually I ha dmy lunch very late on Saturday. Anyway, as my family was planning to eat outside later, I decided to had a light meal in Yoshinoya, the chicken ramen set. Ok, think I said before, the ramen is kind of like instant noodles. Well, at least it taste better than the mee hoon soup, which is kind of blend and hard...

Flute
Ok, today I had my first lesson on the 5pm class. Well, still met Johanna and Jasmine when they just ended their class there. Anyway, this class have a larger proportion of males inside, well a change for me. All my previous flute classes, my current violin class and my temp staff colleagues are mostly females, sometimes kind of odd to hve lesson with me being the only male inside the class (especially violin class, where I'm the only male other than the teacher). While having lunch with the temp-staff colleagues, I'm also usually the only male inside the group as well. Ranneth or Guan Si might join in during some occasions. Haha... Never mind lah, I'm used to it already.

Anyway, we were doing Swings for flute today. Kind of not used to the style, since I'm more to the classical side. I just kept making mistakes there. Well, never mind, things might get better next time.

Relaxing Friday

Just Only A Few Applications

Oo-lah...
There were only like 30+ applications that I need to key in today. Well, the mails didn't have much applications. Hmm... I supposed they must have been exhausted with the potential people applying for Maybank credit card after so many roadshows going on out there.

Anyway, since there was nothing much to do, I helped Chae Yun to buy credit bureaus for the customers. Haha... think there are like 3 errors that came up just now, so I think I might have wasted... Sorry, I mean I helped the bank to spend a little bit more money for the credit bureaus. Haha... Anyway, it's just $9, I'm sure the bank woouldn't mind about that amount.

Well, there was actually 2 more applications that I need to key in, but as the WebEA was down after that, I decided to hold on until Monday. Ok, so I decided to do those work that I was supposed to do on Monday, which was to print out the customer inquiries from Sema (using AS400). Anyway, I managed to print all of them out before I end my work day. The next thing I need to do on Monday is to calculate their annual income.

The Nanyang Week
Haha... This is the 3rd time that I went to Nanyang Polytechnic to have lunch. Well, at least there's 2 canteen (general one), 1 fast-food specialised canteen and 1 air-con Food Junction (food court) in Nanyang Polytechnic. So, going many times to Nanyang Polytechnic to have lunch will still be ok. There are more varieties of food served in NYP canteens, and the food there are generally better than that in Tech Point canteen.

Today, we went to the NYP Food Junction to have our lunch. Well, even though it's Friday (the day where a lot of students skipped lessons), Fodd Junction was still as crowded. That's mainly because it's very near to the main entrance, and many students would prefer to have their lunch there (more variety + air-con). Well, at least now it's school holidays, so we don't have to fight with the students from Anderson Junior College (AJC) for places inside there. Anyway, the Food Junction is just like any Food Junction found inside the shopping malls. Haha... the NYP students must be enjoying themselves there...

After lunch, we went to Cheers inside the NYP shopping arcade to buy some tidbits. Well, the girls said that they wanted to buy the pudding inside there, because it look nice and it's cheap ($1.35 for 6 small cups of puddings). I also explore around the shopping arcade at the same time. Haha... there's one shop that specialises in make-ups, and another shops that specialises on soft toys. Haha... How interesting, especially the make-up shop. I wonder if the students will put on make-ups when they attend lectures, tutorials or lab-work.

Dinner
Well, I decided to buy the food back home from Junction 8 for dinner. Haha... not that I don't like what they cook at home, it's just that they had been cooking the same thing for dinner for so many days... Kind of sick and tired of the food...

Anyway, I went to McDonald's to order the Grilled Chicken Foldover meal for dinner. Hmm... Thought that I should have more veggies for my meals. Anyway, McDonald's is also selling this soft toy currently, which is the FIFA Football Lion (named Goleo). Haha... I thought it looks nice, and it would be good to add on to my soft toy collections. Yup, I collect soft/plush toys, just for those people who don't know. I'm a collector, so I'll just collect anything that I think it's worth collecting. So, you can give me any kind of soft/plush toys, or any kind of collectables for my next birthday if you want to. :P

June: School Holidays

School Holidays
Haha... Think I must have missed this one a lot. Well, the school holiday started last Saturday, and there was also O Level Chinese exams last Monday as well. Haha... Too bad I'm not a school student, so I don't have any holiday to enjoy (as for now). Never mind, after my contracts end, I can have my own holidays.

Work Today
Today, Chae Yun is not here, so I have to print out the customer inquiry and calculate the income by myself. Haiz... next week she will be taking leave from Tuesday to Friday, which means I might have to help her do her work... Haiz... Haha... I thought of taking no-paid leave as well, but thinking that I will have even more work to do when I come back (because it accumulates when I'm away), so dare not really take leave for no reason unless I have something important...

For lunch, we went to the Neighbourhood Police station to eat. Haha... As I said last time, the food there is really nice. The chicken rice from the muslim stall taste great. Hmm... they only have like 3 stalls operating there, but the food they serve are good, unlike the canteen in Tech Point. Hmm... think the NPC really know how to choose the canteen vendor to operate there... Haha...

Forks? Fox?
By the way, how do you pronounce these 2 words?

Forks
Fox

Anyway, when my colleagues were requesting for more forks, I thought I heard it as fox... Haha... Think I must be getting so old that I loss some of my sense of hearing judgement... Hmm... Or maybe because I haven't been digging my ears for a long time?

Anyway, about these 2 words, I'm still trying to pronounce them correctly, just in case they really give me fox meat as my meal... :P Haha... Don't think they will though, since it might be illegal... Anyway, I'm trying to differentiate the pronunciation between these 2 words.
